very nice cheap hotel only 10 mins from city centre. only bad points is that its next to an ambulance depot so sirens every so often and the carpet at the bottom of the stairs as you enter the restaurant is uneven so my girlfriend twisted her ankle slightly

Great little hotel. Pretty good location although a 10 min walk from Old town and Train/Bus Station. Really clean and cheap for what you get.

We cut our stay in the hotel because the room was not as advertised -it was in a building owned by the hotel about 30m up the road. And seemed to be where the hotel staff slept. When we said we wanted a room in the hotel the receptionist shrugged and said it was not her problem. There was plenty of grumbling and muttering stuff in Polish under her breath and you didn't need to habe a word of Polish to understand what she was saying, y'know that kind of way? Upon leaving they attempted to charge us an illegal tax on top of the room rates. They were very insistant that this tax was a Polish government tax on visitors but after I persistantly argued the point that I knew it was illegal they backed down. I would not reccommend this place, not even as a last resort for anyone. We moved over to Hotel Qubus and that was a real hotel. If I ever return to Krakow its Hotel Qubus all the way for me and my girlfriend.close

Guest rooms were spacious and clean but as we were advised after querying with management, and contrary to our reservation, there are no double beds in this form of accommodation (twin beds pushed together instead left sizeable gap).

Decent room and facilities, a little further from town than would have liked (10-15m)

Positive: Very clean, good breakfast, spacious rooms. Negative: We booked and specified a double room on hostelworld.com but were instead given a dorm room with 3 single beds. It was only after some frustrating argument that we we were given what we had orginally booked. Staff were unfiendly.

The rooms advertised on and booked through HostelWorld were actually available at the hotel. I booked a Double en suite in the 2* guest rooms and found that there are no such rooms, the only doubles are in the more expensive 3* hotel part. the latter rooms were nice, but pricer than i'd budgeted...

However, the two comments i have are that it is a bit further from the main train station/main square than advertised. Secondly, I was very disappointed in the customer service. I was involved in a road traffic accident while in krakow and asked for some assistance and staff basically refused to help. So for that reason alone, i would not go back to the hostel again.close

Hotel Batory Guest Rooms is the best hostel I have been to. I think the word "Hostel" isn't the best word to describe it, the word "Hotel" is more correct. Allthough it was cheap, it offered very much: also the breakfast was very good.

Not really a hostel but a really great budget location. Don't stay if you want to meet people there but the old town is only 10 mins walk and it was a perfect place for a few of us to stay. Very clean, tidy and secure.
