Remarkably unscathed during both World Wars, and extremely pleasing on the eye, it's no wonder that Krakow is Poland's most visited city. The Polish capital until 1596, the cobbled squares, churches and mosques, and gothic architecture are what draw thousands of visitors year after year. Krakow also boasts countless jazz clubs, whetting the appetite of live music lovers from both home and abroad.

If you like going out partying on the nights then there are plenty of good bars and clubs, and the beer is cheap (as cheap as 80p during the week to £1.30ish on the weekends). Or if you\'re more into culture, history and sightseeing then there are also many things to do and places to see (the Salt Mine, Wawel Castle, Auschwitz-Birkenau). So Krakow is a great city no matter what you\'re interested in. close

  1. Hotel RT Galicya96%

Nice and secluded, in the vicinity of main roads, the RT Galicya is located far from urban tumult, with a favourable approach to the city centre. Our hotel was designed for the comfort of guided groups, nevertheless it also meets the needs of the others. RT Galicya offers 63 functional and spacious rooms fitted with bathroom and equipped with satelite TV and telephone. Our multifunctional room facilities can...

  2. U Pana Cogito91%

Whilst the hotel is located in the most depressing part of Krakow, the hotel itself is of exceptional standard. A brillant hotel!!! It is quaint and very walkable to the Old Town. The only other noticeable flaw is the indifferent nature of some of the staff. I received a more endearing reception...

The only problem came on the last day of my stay when there were several more people staying in the hotel. I had stated the previous night that I would take breakfast at 9am, however, when I came to the restaurant there was no space available and I had to wait outside for nearly 10 mins. I then...

  3. Jagiellonian University Hotel78%

Cons: This hostel has all the charm of a communist-era boarding-house, and is a 25 minute walk from the city centre, so the location leaves much to be desired. Pros: The staff were reasonable friendly and helpful whenever I needed their help, so no complaints in this area. Also, the place is...
