Central located, and friendly staff with good internet. Motel style rooms that are quite big (You can get a double bed instead of twin if you ask) With cable tv. Great choice for a couple of days, though Ao Nang itself is a little Costa Del Sol and very little Thailand.

The staff were lovely the location was close to everything. It wasnt what i would call a pretty place but it had everything u needed and was good value for money

Nice Hotel if you book the upper class (upper rooms)! Staff was really friendly and helpfull and its just 2 minutes to the beach, so perfect location!

this was a horrible place, keys left out for anyone at night, noisy during the night, uncomfortable beds, only stay for one night if desperate. not free internet as advertised!!!

Very clean and good sized rooms. TV, Air con, hot shower (Water pressure not the best but still does the job) and very comfortable. Has everything you need and still cheap. Would reccomend to anyone

Keys left out on table at night with no staff around - very poor security. Anyone can come in and pick them up. TV is useless - no channels with any reception. Room OK. Location fine. Room was cleaned.

We only stayed in Aonang Grand one night as a stop over from Phi Phi on our way back to Bangkok.. It was perfect for what we needed, clean, secure and comfortable.

This was a very basic place but we were made to feel very welcome. We were initally meant to spend 3 days here and ended up staying for 6. I have no complaints with any aspect.

The beach was an easy stroll from the hotel and there were plenty of places to eat. The room was a good size and pretty quiet but the en suite bathroom was pretty grubby, although we did have hot water. Overall not a bad place to stay but maybe not quite worth the money we paid.

Fantastic location! only like 4 minutes to walk to the beach, lots of stores and restaurants right next door, but not so that you felt overwhelmed by touristy-ness

The security in this place is very bad. My friend got his wallet stolen in the room. Shared bathroom which you are often locked out of. Staff moderatly helpful, and the location is ok. The only benefit is the price which is very good for budget vacation. would not stay here again

Its actually a good place to stay, but the reception, which is seperate from the rooms was shut all the time we were there, which made checking in trick to say the least. Other than that is a good place to stay.

In general some staff were ok, approachable, and willing to help. But this hostel is misrepresented in some ways. For example, NO HOT WATER, at least not in rooms 106 and 107. On arrival in the morning we were told that we couldn't check in until late afternoon despite making a reservation through Hostelworld. The staff were very unhelpful in telling us why this was but we later found out that the hostel had let the room out to someone else until 4pm. Not... more On arrival in the morning we were told that we couldn't check in until late afternoon despite making a reservation through Hostelworld. The staff were very unhelpful in telling us why this was but we later found out that the hostel had let the room out to someone else until 4pm. Not staying long in Ao Nang meant we lost a large amount of our stay in the area waiting around to check in. Some rooms here are very cheap in comparison to other hostels in the area but be aware that this is for a reason. Our room was pretty small and located in a very noisy area of the building with people walking past the room and talking loudly until very late. The bathroom (with only cold water) was shared with the room next door who are able to lock you out when they are using it, and you can only get back in if they decide to unlock it again - which they didn't from late evening until late morning. So we had to use the communal bathroom down the corridor. We asked to upgrade rooms shortly after checking in and were told we could do this the next day. On talking to another member of staff in the evening he told us that we could only change the next day if the occupants wanted to move and we'd find out in the afternoon the following day. He also wanted immediate payment of the room we were staying in and the upgraded room we didn't even know whether we could stay in and got very irate when we questioned why we should pay for a room he couldn’t guarantee we could stay in. We left the following morning and found another hostel to stay in for the rest of our trip.close

This was our first stay in budget accomodation and were pleasantly suprised, the room was clean and comfortable, fab movies on the TV!! The only thing we didnt like was the bathroom which was outside and there was a hole in the wall which let in all kinds of creatures! Location excellent.

Very ordinary for the money. TV reception quite bad, air con doesn't work properly all the time and the bathroom is a bit dingy with a cracked toilet and basin hanging off the wall! You could definitely find somewhere better for less money

It is only a 2 minute walk from Ao Nang beach and Ao Nang itself is lovely! We thought it was much better than Railay Beach! Handy travel agent in reception and internet. Try their mango fruit shakes, sold out the front. They're delicious!
