city that is moving very fast. bustling busy and crowded. for a change and short while it\'s okay but too fast and hectic like you are being pushed along.

The city is nice but very busy. There are tons of people walking around everywhere. If you look around the many different shops you are sure to find something you like and can\'t resist buying. There are many chic restaurants that have very creative chefs that make eating very interesting and tasty.

Hong Kong is an amazing place, full of energy, new smells, sounds and amazing sights. Once you have visited, is one place that you will not and cannot forget. The harbor by itself is one of the most famous sights in the world, and actually crossing the harbor in the star ferries is an absolute must both in the daytime and at night, be sure though to have your camera at hand to grasp the magical moment. With so many things to do, great food, excellent night life, superb shopping and some outlying Islands for you to discover and explore, you could very easily spend a wonderful if not hectic few days in Hong Kong. Hong Kong hotels are among some of the finest in the world with prices to match so if you can not afford to stay in one why now sample a cocktail or two in the Peninsula hotel in Kowloon. The bar is on the top floor over looking the harbour.

A spaghetti junction of streets filled with shops and people where it seems money is the only ruling factor, but there are a good few museums scattered around as well!

HK has nearly everything - beaches in the south of HK Island, party and sightseeing in the north of HK Island, shopping in Kowloon and chilling in the New Territories and acceptable temperatures even in winter. Had a perfect New Year Party (except of the fireworks at 8pm instead of 12pm)!

Although the culture and sight seeing is amazing here, it seemed a little too expensive! We couldnt really party as the alcohol was a tad bit over priced! Shopping was fun, and a time a little hazardous (DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH THE HAWKERS- THEY DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!)especially in the markets. LOADS of places to eat out, LOADS of places to chill out-but agian, expensive! We also went to Disney Land while we were here-SO MUCH FUN!! And they dont seem to have the over eagerness of the American Disney Land, which is always good!! BOTTOM LINE: Cutlure Buffs: A must see place. Party animals: not for you

Where else can you find the best bargain shopping than Mongkok? On a weekend, you wouldn't have enough room to breathe because of the thousands of people out and about! This place is so alive and you really feel the energy of the locals. I can't wait to return.

I was traveling alone this time and really enjoyed the convenience, cleanliness, and safety of the subway and bus systems in HK/KL. I especially loved sampling the goodies offered at the little mini bakeries in the underground subway stations. Do get one of those "Octopus cards" (or "Bak Dat Tung" cards, as they are known in the local Cantonese dialect, in the subway station) as they conveniently allow you to simply swipe the card to get on/off the subway, buses, and even pay for items purchased at 7/11 stores or pay for food at Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonald's without having to fish for change from your purse or pockets. When your funds run low, simply go to one of the many machines found in the subway stations (or go to the attendant booth for a live person) and add funds.

Great for shopping and eating good south east asian food. Better than Dubai and Bankok i think in this respect. Not so good for cultural sight seeing. Would come again.

For those who love shopping, you can visit Citygate (Right beside MRT - Tung Chung) - a shopping centre with all the authentic brands such as esprit, nike, adiddas, puma, calvin klien, quicksilver amoung others. There's another adiddas factory outlet beside Chi Lai Kok Mrt station at the industrial building. Visiting the Peak at night is the best with fantastic view of the city. Ocean Park is a must-see for trill seekers who yearns for roller coasters. Disney park should be visited on non-peak days to avoid the horendously long queues. Morning Dim-Sums are a must-try for visitors.

I loved Hong Kong, but dont go on a budget, The best bits need some money. Oh and be wary of the pollution. I would suggest a few days in Macau for some sanity and a day on the beach!

Go to Soho or Lan Kwai Fong for food and drink. HAppy hours before 9 are great value. Island of Lantau is a must, as is Cheung Sa beach on Lantau. Also go to victoria peak at 5 in eve then look at view by night after a drink.

Hong kong is like a hornets nest with no room to swing a cat. great shopping for all types of people. Watch out for fake merchandise. People do not smile a lot and can be quite rude but that is to be expected in a city that has over 6 million people in such a cramped space.

Hong Kong is the city that never sleeps! Food is available 24/7, especially in Mongkok. Public transport is so easy and cheap, there's so much to explore. It's definitely one of the most vibrant cities in the world.

So what is there to do in this city besides shop for pricey handheld gadgets and walk the street markets once again in the hopes that something I actually need will leap out at me ?This is my only first visit, and I know it takes time to get to know a new place but I had somehow expected the culture and points of interest in the city to become more apparent to me.So far all I can find is shopping shopping shopping at prices that really don't fit my budget. Maybe better luck next time?

Hong Kong has all of fun of China, without any of the trouble of understanding Chinese. It's very traveler friendly, as everything is in English and most people speak English. The weather is really humid, even when it's cold, and some days it's foggy so sightseeing can be difficult if you go to Victoria Peak or the Tian Tan Buddah. All-in-all, I would go there again.
