Very clean, spacious, and modern. Staff are friendly and accommodating. I ended up not being able to stay one of the nights that I had booked, and they just forwarded the payment to when I came back. Great location, not tucked away in some alley. Free internet and coffee and tea is nice!

great location close to everything. staff seem uninterested in helping you. beds noisy makes it hard to sleep in the dorms. place did grow on me though

I love NBC! it has the cheapest beer in town. Staff are extremely helpful and fun. Very close to food markets. Would recomend to everyone coming to KK to stay here!

A really nice hostel, the breakfast is good and they even have Milo. The free internet is a real bonus and you can enjoy whilst having a cheap beer. I booked my Mt Kinabalu trip through the hostel the day before I left and it all worked out perfectly.

Stayed here for 1 night, and it was OK... Not the cleanest bathrooms, the showers have no locks or fixtures for the shower heads but overall it did the job and was in a good location.

I was in the room next to the TV so it was very noisy and there were people (I think they were staff) in and out all night which didn't help.

The only problem that i had with this place is that the doors didn't lock. Everyone is provided with a locker for valuables but bags, clothes etc have to be left in rooms which cannot be locked. really good! infact my 2 day stop has lasted over a week! the staff are really friendly, and sooo helpful and knowledgeable. free internet - 1 computer is in full use, the one upstairs is a bit slow and often stops working, but you always get a opportunity to use one or the other. free breakfast....

Great Location, very well orgqanized and very friendly staff. Great Internet for free, DVD, very helpful on your choice for your free time. Tours not adequate to hte standard provided by the hotel staff, but it is your choice...Spent three relaxing and great days. Thank you guys

Amazingly friendly hostel right in the heart of KK. Ideal place for everyone. Clean and not to noisy. Ask for a bed in the dorm facing the back, then you'll have the quietest room.

We actually arrive here to be told they were full, and were sent to their sister hostel, called Akinabalu, which is only 5 mins away on the same road but in a better location, as it is more central, so my ratings are for there, not the North Borneo Cabin

Ok, I thought this place would be great, and it was except for the beds and sleeping in general. I stayed couple days at NBC, and have to admit that I don't have anything to complain about. Extremely helpful and friendly staff! I have been staying at really many guesthouses during my trip, but this must be the coziest one.

Really nice place to stay. Free internet, living room with satellite tv, breakfast included and free coffee/tea. Softdrinks and beer available for fair prices. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Very clean as well, hot showers. Surely recommended!!!

It would be excellent if rooms were air-conditioned. KK town is quite hot to sleep at night in. I believe most of the customers wouldn't mind paying RM5 to RM10 more for air conditioning.
