The way Thailand used to be Cliff Cottage is a secluded and picturesque resort. The wooden bar / restaurant is built over the sea in a private cove. Its a great place to relax. The bar area and many bungalows offer a great place to relax and watch the sunset. Close to the Bang Bao pier nicely located for those seeking to travel on to the other islands, take boat trips or try snorkeling and diving. The only noise comes from the sea and all you can see is nature. There is no loud music and no crazy parties. . It is a traditonal Thai beach bungalow style resort. The bungalows are rustic wooden style and all have a picturesque sea view and double bed The toilets and showers are located centrally . The resort has a private cove with great snorkeling and fishing opportunities. Customers have free access to DVD's , PS2 & satelite tv. . No parties, loud music or crazy drinks. Just relax. When you arive at Bang Bao we are a 10 minute walk away. Signposts are limited due to local restrictions. It can be tricky to find, just ask a local for directions, when you arrive its worth it. PLEASE NOTE If ita dark when you arrive please call us and someone will meet you. Our number is visible on posters next to 7/11 and there is a phone box on 7/11 wall. We do not provide towels. Our kitchen closes at 9am

nice place to swim and chill out, rooms are a little bit old and some of them very on the top of the hill, which makes difficult when its rainning. Bathrooms are dark and far from the rooms. Food is expensive but its a short way walk from Bang Bao pier. Still, very nice place to relax

If you want a really quiet few days by the sea then go to Ko Chang. If your looking for banging parties this is not the place for you.

The Cliff Cottage is in a quiet spot on the tip of Koh Chang. The bungalows are basic, but the views over the cliff are good. The staff ,and owner particaularly, are very friendly and helpful. The club house/bar is nice.

There are more cost effective places to stay on the island, having said this the food was amazing and the hospitality was very good. Definetly should try it out but not for all tastes.close

The location is amazing if you want a relaxing place to get away and enjoy amazing sunsets and nice ocean view (one of the best views I have ever witnessed). Also, it is close to a beach (1km) that is smaller and less crowded than the popular White Sand Beach (this still has white sand). Owner is really cool and his staff are all very friendly. Hope this helps.close

It's quite an adventure and you get the bungalows that you'd expect, with bug nets and all.

I highly recommend this place for the backpacker! The staff are just awesome. Try all the food you can there, it is superb, clean and tasty. If you want to chill and relax then go here. Fan, mosquito net and blinds need a wash though (didn't bother me too much though). Ohhh, and the host is great...

Do not attempt to get here at night! It's nearly impossible. They need a few more signs pointing which way at the forks in the path on the way from the pier. Food was overpriced but still pretty tasty. The view from our bungalow was stunning, just make sure you get a good hammock! :)

The good things at cliff cottage: - the restaurant nearby the sea is very nice and good for relaxing and sun bath. - the huts are really not so nice: - long and somehow dangerous walk to the village, too few signs, bridge is broken,... - the drinks and food are somehow expensive, ok, it is Ko Chang, but.. - one of the wash basins broke down during washing,it was a fixing problem, euan did not hesitate to ask for the money, although my friend had a cut in the food from the falling basin! I will never go there and I don't want to recommend Cliff Cottageclose

Location is too far from main island. Had to jump over a small bridge (150 ft wide) made of tree barks with luggage. If one is good at balancing, this could be fun. There could be ants in the living hut. And on a windy day, there are hut twigs falling all over you.
