My 5 nights at Alpenrider were a blast-the staff did absolutely everything they could to make it a fun and care-free week. The chalet was spotlessly clean, the breakfasts hearty and the the evening meals yummy! The airport pick-up was a real bonus; I would definitely return for some more apres...

The staff are amazing - its run by an Aussie guy Shevy, and most of the staff are Aussies too. There is a little bar in the chalet too, which is rockin every night of the week - so dont come here unless you are prepared to party most of the time. If you go during ski season, you book a week, and incl in the price is breakfast, 4 evening meals and transfers from Salzburg and Vienna. You can also rent your ski gear from them at the chalet. They have guys who can take you out to show you the best runs etc. We may just go back for a third year!close

I would not recommend this hostel to the average hostel goer. Make sure you get a room key if you don't want to be disturbed at night. The raucous parties at the hostel seem fun at first, but often go too far and by the end of our stay we felt unsafe and had had some bad experiences.

The information about the name and location of the hostel was wrong, so it was quite difficult to find the place. It's name is not "Alpenrider Chalet", but "Haus Christian"; and the town is not Kitzbuhel, but Kirchberg.
