It is a nice and typical so called "Japanese business hotel", so room was very small and bed little short for me (gosh I forgot about this detail again during reservation!!!) I don't think that they received any info about my reservation from hostelworld.com, since they had no any... more It is a nice and typical so called "Japanese business hotel", so room was very small and bed little short for me (gosh I forgot about this detail again during reservation!!!) I don't think that they received any info about my reservation from hostelworld.com, since they had no any trace of it in their system, but they accepted me with the rate I shown from my "reservation confirmation printout". The only problem was that later on the train I realized that they didn't subtract deposit charged by hostelworld.com already. Since they had no clue about me reservation my email asking for pickup from station never got any response. Walking to hotel is a little long journey, so I recommend taxi or public bus (forgot the number). So to summarize, hotel is nice but little far from Kokura Castle and other attractions. For sure stuff there was very cheerful and Internet access in the lobby free and very fast!!!close

Please remove this hotel from "Fukuoka City" it is NOT in Fukuoka city! It is in Kokura, which is actually pretty far from Fukuoka. It was awful to discover that Kokura is very far from "Fukuoka City" (Hakata) after arriving there. decent sized language barriers with staff as they had minimal english on board. but will enjoy all the bowing that they give you

The Sun Sky Hotel in Fukuoka city is actually located in Kokura!!!!! Not even in Fukuoka prefecture! Do not even think of booking here if you want Fukuoka city. Do not even think of booking here if you want Fukuoka city. This website is very misleading the hotel's location. I was expecting a place in Fukuoka, as description and address says, but found myself taking a shinkansen 20 minutes north to kokura. Other than terrible location, the staff was helpful and the hotel was secure and fairly clean. Free english newspaper upon arrival. Hostelworld, do you even know where any of these places actually are?! This was bullshit!close
