It is perched on a very steep hill in Kinsale. When you go into the restaurant the first thing that hits you is the homely atmosphere. The food was delicious and there is a variety to choose from not just seafood. The only gripe I would have is that it lacks good ventilation the smoke alarm went off several times when we were there. Don't let this put you off tho as it is well worth the visit for the food alone!close

The fish dishes are so fresh - I recommend the crab gratin starter and the monkfish. The lamb and steaks are fab too. Its just great. And importantly not too stuffy as some restaurants are these days - its relaxed, cozy and friendly atmosphere.close

One of the nicest restaurants I have ever eaten in! The fish is pretty much straight off the boat but even if you are not a fish eater the steak and the rest of the meats are to die for too! The fish is pretty much straight off the boat but even if you are not a fish eater the steak and the rest of the meats are to die for too! I have eaten here 2 times (the only 2 times I have been to Kinsale, if I ever go again it will be my first stop) and both times have just been delicious! Last time there was a big group of us and they were brilliant to us, the food all arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection and the wine (and water!) kept coming! If you could fit in a dessert they were amazing too! They didn't kick us out even though we were the last table and took a while to leave! Couldnt' recommend this restaurant highly enough, would even take a trip from Cork to it just for dinner! Excellent!close
