Bit far out of town! It was a nice place... big old period style home! Beds were comfy enough and warm. Sitting room and food hall were good too!

This hostel is in a very cool old estate style building. It is a ways out of town and the shuttles can be difficult for coordinating night life. If you don't mind a bit of a cab fare it's a nice place.

The showers were a mess. There wasn't hot water most of the time and that was when water was running at all. We found cockroaches in one of the shower stall. It's a really nice old building, but is a shame that is so poorly keeped and tended.

I loved this hostel. The people were nice and friendly, but you must have a car to get to it! For those people with a car you will enjoy the castle like building and easy comfort of the suroundings. I would go back any time!

I loved the hostel and the location. But it's quite useful to have a car, as the hostel is located 6 km from Killarney.

A few bits and piece like better coffee, more showers and hooks for clothes in showers would make this hostel my #1 ever!

Nice place to chill out and relax for a few days. Fairly quiet. We were lucky we had a car. Wouldn't want to be using public transport

fairly decent; the directions were a bit bewildering - would have been helpful to state that it lies just off the N72 in Fossa (though the Golden Nugget was definitely helpful)

This hostel is good for those who have their own conveyance. 6 Km far from city centre, a nice place but looks horrible in night. Cheaper tours to ring of kerry and gap of dunloe from this hotel is additional benefit of this hostel.

very friendly and helpful staff, had a very good time here, keep in mind that the location is outside town (but there is a bus going to town I think each hour; 1,85€), wonderful countryside, very comfortable living-room to stay, thx

A good hostel. Inconvenient if you don't have car or bike. Directions a bit misleading (3rd exit from where?) - look for Killorglin road.

Roomsize was okay. Some mould on the walls, showers were not really convenient, but still acceptable. The beds definitely need to be enhanced/renewed. The grates cause pain in the back/spine that lasts for a couple of days. You really can't recover in such beds. Fantastic location and building.... more Roomsize was okay. You are a few miles out of town, and the bus to get you to the hostel comes once ever two hours until 6:45pm, so if you miss it, you are screwed. The hostel is nice though, pretty scenery, feels like summer camp.

if they could update their directions on the hostel world website to include the name of the Orange Public House where you turn, that would be helpful.

A nice hostel in an old building in beautiful surrounds... unfortunately it was quite out of town. It was difficult to get to when arriving out of hours of the local bus service or hostel pick-up service.

This hostel is on the outskirts of Killarney, but within walking distance of beatiful scenery at the Killarney National Park. There isn't much right around the hostel so transportation is an issue. It is great for a quiet getaway

I think it is very important to let people know about the bathrooms. They do not have shower stalls...you shower in front of the toilet next to the sink in a very small room. NO stall, NO curtain. The building was beautiful and the rooms were pretty good sized but the bathrooms were unacceptable.
