Without a car the location would have been somewhat inconvenient, but for us it was OK.

Very nice hostel, but far from centre. But was good to stay a little in the countryside. Taxi costs 11 euros to Killarney, bus costs 1.85euros (but does not pass very often).

This hostel is in a beautiful area and the staff members are friendly. Be sure to take quick showers cause the hot water doesn't last long!

Otherwise, it turned out to be a great place to base ourselves for 3 days with most of Killarney accessilbe quickly by car.I believe there's a bus that goes there from Killarney as well.close

This place was pretty lame I thought. The least interesting of all of hostels I stayed in, and really far from town.

They don't even rent bikes and the bus schedule is unreliable. The door didn't close all the way so we had to sleep with it open. Luckily there weren't many people there because they pack 12 beds in each room. It was run down, deserted and inconvenient. My rant is done.close

So, the man at the desk gave us the whole dorm and din't let anyone else n.. which was very sweet of him. The place was sooo clean, i have never been in a hostel so spotless. It was very refreshing. keep it up. If I am ever in Fossa, I will definitely be staying there again. My only issue was security. It din't appear that the front doors to the dorm were locked at night.. so anyone would be able to come inside the building.. which was a very scary thought.. lucky there were 4 of us!close

If you had any hopes of walking to Ross Castle, kiss them off, since you'll likely be dead tired by the time you get to town and not have any energy for walking all the way out to the castle and then back to the hostel. Also, since there are no other tennants, it's quite lonely and depressing.close

very clean and friendly staff, but i think it's a mostly big for campers-and it's a bit out of the city...buses don't run late, so you'll need a car or taxi after 6 or 7 pm...
