Situated in the Valley of the Kings River on the outskirts of Kilkenny, between the medieval village of Kells and Stoneyford, Lawcus is a superbly renovated stone farm house offering its guests luxury and tranquility. Three of the accommodations are split level, with separate living and dining area, refurbished to the highest standard. The Gold room (family room) has 1 double and 2 single bed. The Oak room has 2 single and 1 double bed. The Hunter?s room has 1 double bed. The Stone and Brennans room offer their own enchanted feel with double brass beds. The breakfast dining room has a wonderful original Inglenook fire place where you can enjoy a full Irish breakfast. Less than a stone's throw away the cut grass paths bring you down to the Kings River where you may encounter some of her myriad of wildlife. Wild flowers also survive here on this ancient site. The village pubs are friendly offering traditional music or a barbecue in a cosy atmosphere. A working water mill, mote and bailey and the famous Kells priory are all within walking distance. It would give us great pleasure to share this wonderful part of Ireland with you and make it one to remember.

This place is what you make of it. Its not every day you get to stay on an Irish farm and the rooms were very well kept. Its about a 10 minute drive from Kilkenny but we were sure to be back by dark so we didn't get lost.

We visited during early December but still enjoyed it despite the bad weather. But bring your own transport if you plan to do a lot of looking around... overall very...

It was wonderful; we had our own suite adjacent to the main house. The countryside in the area is beautiful, and Mark cooks a delicious breakfast. There are also two very friendly little dogs who joined us for a walk by river that runs through the property. An easy drive into Kilkenny. A good time was had by all.close

Lovely stay, A beautiful and charming place. Two critiques: Should indicate on website that cash payment is required (this caught us unprepared). Also, a fruit option for breakfst would be nice

Our stay at Lawcus Farm was easily the most enjoyable part of out trip to Ireland. Hopefully, when we come back we will make it our home base for our adventures.
