Unfortunately our stay in Kilfenora was a short one, but the village is set in the amazingly beautiful north of Co. Clare. When we were there the weather was amazing- I think we were lucky, but the coastline and the hills of the Burren were rugged and beautiful. There seemed to be lots to do, horse riding nearby, walking in the burren and a great pub called Vaughans that had Irish dancing a couple of nights a week (unfortunately we missed this too!). You really need a car to get around, but we saw plenty of people hitching around the area.

Nice hostel-nice staff and good food in the bar. Set dancing on a Sunday night and affordable
