There was no reception area. There was no sense of organisation. We booked a double bed and all we got were twin beds for two nights. A nice place to stay but it needs more attention and possibly more staff.

Lovely town. One should know that the Cable House gets renovated right now (which we did not know!) and therefore is a bit messy. Also it may be important that one does not get an Irish breakfast when going by the only bus at 7:30am because this is considered to be too early to get up.

It's a beautiful old house with so much character! The living room is very cozy ...fireplace (threw on some turf!), leather sofas, and a great old model steamer on display. The owner was extremely gracious and spent a good deal of time talking to us about the old house.

The Cable House has an interesting history. Mr. Brown is a wonderful host and an accomplished chef. Our dinner there was outstanding; we really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent accomodation for the price: very clean and comfortable, and very friendly and helpful owners. Also recommend Brown's Restaurant (under the same roof).
