There are many things to do there such as relaxing by the bay, going for long walks, hiking in the mountains, horse riding, golfing, fishing, just to mention a few.
You can take a walk down to the pier to take a boat ride around the bay. You will not be disappointed in Kenmare... Kenmare is an excellent base for touring around the ring of Kerry. There are plenty of accommodation options from self catering, hostels, guesthouses and hotels.
I stayed in Gortamullen Holiday homes just 5 min walk from the town. I highly recommend them.

Very much enjoyed my meal though I did find it on the pricey side. The views from the restaurant are fantastic.

The is a wide range of hot and cold dishes available here from noon daily. The food is of a higher quality than normal bar food and there are delicious Irish steaks to lip smacking baby back ribs. The beef for the beef burger is locally sourced.
Great for a spot of lunch. Usually have good live music at night.
