Having read many reviews of Kefalonia online and in guide books, I can't tell you how disappointed I was with this island. I obviously do not get the Greek Island fascination at all. It was dry and baron and not at all like the pretty green oasis I had read about. If you want stunning...more Having read many reviews of Kefalonia online and in guide books, I can't tell you how disappointed I was with this island. I obviously do not get the Greek Island fascination at all. It was dry and baron and not at all like the pretty green oasis I had read about. If you want stunning scenery with good food and wine, don't bother with Kefalonia. If you want to be bored out of your brain then you'll love it. Restaurants were plentiful but the food was very disappointing.close
