Canoes can be rented on location, and no experience is necessary. The gorge is beautiful, enclosed by sheer cliffs on both side, and populated by diverse wildlife; turtles, butterflies, and unferocious freshwater crocodiles. Bring a tent and camp for a night further up the gorge. But be prepared to haul your canoe over sharp rocks if necessary. Due to the heat, I actually spent more time swimming along by the canoe, in the refreshing cool water. Fantastic adventure.close
