Very clean, helpful staff. Bit further from the airport than expected, cost me about 5000 yen in a taxi from Kansai but relatively close to the much cheaper train.

I will not go to this hotel ever again nor would I recommend anyone to go to it!close

location is poor if you are staying to visit osaka and surroundings. If you are just staying one night to take the plane at the nearby kansai airport it should be ok. there is a 11 pm curfew (anyway there are no more trains from osaka after 11h30 pm)

Great little place to stay! Very nice couple runs the place and they were very accomodating! Neat bonus was that they let you dress up in traditional Japanese clothes and take pictures!

AND (most importantly) the 10 percent advanced payment that is collected from you when you order a room online is NOT deducted from the price, which means you also pay the 10 percent payment and the FULL PRICE for the rooms when you check in! JUST DONT GO THERE!!!!close

Take the train to anywhere you need to go around osaka. Mall close by for shopping for food and etc. Namba City was fun too! Just takes one train ride to get there. (500¥)

The rooms are cozy and filled with lots of personal touches. It's a lot like staying with your grandparents! We were even dressed in traditional Japanese clothing and given a photo cd of many pictures of us. The only problem we had with the Lodge was the location - it's about a 30 minute train ride from Osaka proper. But the character more than makes up for it if you want a more traditional Japanese stay. Highly recommended.close

Homecooked breakfast was great combination of Japanese and Western style. If your staying when it's cold keep in mind it is not fully heated there are electric blankets, heated rug, and floorheat in the rooms...you won't be cold when you sleep. However, if you plan on lounging around durning the day you'll need a sweater.close
