A bit out of the way (about 25 min walk to centre) but absolutely worth staying at. Lovely staff, lovely hostel, stunning views would have stayed longer.

A total Oasis from craziness. Just what I needed - peace and quiet with outstanding views and no hassell. Yes it's out of town (20 mins walk) but I didn't care as I wanted to escape! J.

Great location if you don't mind what is a pretty lovely walk into town (about 20 mins) Rooms 6/7 have a great view out over the bay to the mountains.

booked online for two days 3 and4th of October. when we arrived we were only booked for one day on their computer but both days on the internet, luckily they were able to put us up in different rooms. not a good thing to happen when the whole city is booked out.

This hostel was really clean and comfortable. It was however quite far from the centre of Kaikora where you need to go for eveything..shops,pubs etc.About 25 minute walk. The owner was really friendly and we got a great welcome!

Lovely. Nice friendly place, very clean, and easy to get to by intercity bus (outside door). Not close to town, but close to seal colony and on the beach so that more than makes up for it. Really enjoyed our stay

Beautiful Location & nice clean rooms, kitchen and Bathroom- only complaint would be that the room was a bit stuffy & the door dragged along the carpet when it was opened- otherwise very enjoyable stay!

Fantastic staff, really clean and excellent hostel but about 2 ks from town, so be prepared to exercise a lot if you don't have a car! Closer to the seal colony however.

this is about 1.5 or more km out of town. there are no buses or taxis. you have to take a shuttle at $6.50 a person no matter how short or long a trip. were told after the seals only came at low tide which was early morning and evening.
