What can I say? It is a beautiful hotel, right under the fort, within walking distance of all the major attractions. It had a beautiful rooftop restaurant, a great courtyard with a pool, and friendly staff. I couldnt really expect more at the rates that they charge.

Full of character, it has been restored to a very good standard with modern amenities. Clean, comfortable rooms are available for varying budgets with traditional decor, fans and A/C. An ample menu of tasty local cuisine and restaurant A La Carte for the less adventurous is available in the restaurant, on the terrace or via room service. Services including trips, laundry and massage are available. Very friendly and helpful staff make for a very pleasant experience for overnight or longer stays.close

The staff made sure that the autorickshaw driver didn't gouge me for a fare and the room was an excellent place to recoup for 2 days till my stomach bug had passed. The location is excellent, just a 5-10 minute walk up the hill to the castle (a must see), and just a 5 minute walk to the clock tower. The staff was VERY professional, the restaurant was great (really helped on recouping), and there is an internet cafe right across the street w/any type of supplies you need (yeah...TP was needed) I'd say a stay of a night or two is the max that you need in this city to see everything. And this hotel is THE place to stay if you come to Jodhpur.close

They just renovated this haveli, and it's immaculate and beautiful and full of open-air, marble-floored terraces that give you solid views and a great atmosphere to relax. Ashish, the manager, is reasonable and quick to accomodate, and all the guys who work there are friendly, especially Sonny. And the guests, while all foreigners, are a good mix from all over the world, not just one language on the premises! I stayed in the cheapest room, which gave me a room on the bottom floor with two twin beds and my own spotless bathroom with hot water, plus a towel. It was quiet and just what I needed to return to after running around Jodhpur all day. I had no view, but with all the terraces, I only went to my room to sleep or shower. Food is decent and I would especially recommend the Thali--if you speak Nepali, though, the kitchen crew will like you lots. Internet connection is excellent. They also give a lot of other serivces, but the best part is the fact that they go 24 hrs a day! (i.e. midnight snacks are available) The Fort is in your face, practically right in front of the place! A 15 min walk puts you at the entrance, so you can beat all the crowds without having to wake up so early. As of now, they're planning on adding a swimming pool and underground "disco" in the next year, so if you're looking at this in 2007, check it out. Dig it, kids. Worth your while if you can get the cheap room. The expensive ones look great too, but I didn't stay in them. A rickshaw from the train station shouldn't be more than 25 Rs. It's not listed, but you can see more pics and info at www.kpheritage.comclose
