The massive Mehrangarh Fort atop a rocky hill dominates the city. A picturesque road winds up through various gates and walls. Jodhpur is connected with Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad and Mumbai by air. Train connections operate to Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkatta, and almost all tourist destinations in Rajasthan. State Transport buses ply from all major cities to Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur and Bikaner.
