The quality... more Hi every one I am Romeo, I was in Jaisalmer this october Istayed in Hotel Suraj and also did the camel safari organized by them. It was really a nice exprience and I enjoyed my tour because my camel drivers were really from Desert and they are very funny telling me stories of Desert. The quality of Food was really like in back home as well as it was far away from tourist traps, we were only 5 peoples in group and no body else in Desert. I liked the tour and want to reccomand to everyone. close

There are a few places around Rajasthan to base yourself while doing a camel trek but we chose Jaisalmer. Shop around to get the best deal. You can usually book through your hotel/guesthouse. We booked ours through Renuka Hotel, and it was very well organised. The trek is slow moving due to... more There are a few places around Rajasthan to base yourself while doing a camel trek but we chose Jaisalmer. Shop around to get the best deal. You can usually book through your hotel/guesthouse. We booked ours through Renuka Hotel, and it was very well organised. The trek is slow moving due to the camels, and can be extremely smelly if you happen to be in the wrong direction of the wind and catch the smell from the camel in front. It is also extremely sore and you will be walking around with pains in your thighs for days. However the scenery in the Thar Desert is amazing. And sleeping under the stars on the sand is such a great experience.close
