A charming, tiny bed and breakfast. Lovely couple, felt very at home with them. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The owner is very helpfull. Arrange for an airport or train station pick up with the owner of the hostel, otherwise make sure you have a rickshaw/cab driver who speaks english as the hostel is not easy to find.

This is a really nice place to stay in Jaipur and takes you away from the crazyness outside. The rooms are clean and spacious. The family are very friendly and helpful and theres a lounge area where you can meet the other travellers and chat etc..free breakfast was great.

Our room was right next to the kitchen so it got very noisy in the morning. We didn't have hot water in the beathroom, so we had to shower in another room. Street is a bit dark at night, no proper lighting but it is very close, walking distance to pink city.

A great little hostel in Jaipur with very friendly staff/owner who are extremely helpful and attentive to all needs. The rooms are basic, but what can you expect for the price!? However it is all you need for your stay. Breakfast is included which is a bonus and I couldn't recommend this little...

The Colonel was a very welcoming and accomodating host. This place is more of a home stay than a hostel/guesthouse, but great all the same. Washing only 50Rs per load and cheap inernet with wifi option. No lock on room so bring a padlock.

Arvind and Shorma are the best hosts you could hope for. The do whatever they can to make you feel like and honourable guest. I would definitely stay there again. I would recommend that you ask for a room on the main level as the ones on the upper level tend to be very hot in the evening.

This place was the best!!! The owner was the nicest person I met in India, because he offers true hospitality, and made me feel like in my owm home. He even gave me a natural home remedy for my sprained ankle and it made it all better!! I really thank him for all the help. I will come back!!!...

Its such a good place to stay when in Jaipur, walking distance to the old city and to the new part of the city, its just behind a main street. Colonel Grover and his wife are really nice people, they will make everythn thats possible to make you feel like at home.

No AC in Jaipur is a very bad thing. There was no soap in the bathroom, no towels were provided and the bed was terribly uncomfortable. The owners were very nice and accomodating. If this home stay had AC it would be much better.

I absolutely loved my time in the Explorer's Nest - to have a room that opened onto a rooftop terrace with views across Jaipur was fantastic - not to mention the Colonel's excellent breakfast and good chat!

My room was especially nice as it was quite sunny in the mornings, so much so that I didn't know when the electricity was out. There were outages daily, on both a scheduled and unscheduled basis. My arrival was a comedy of errors that ended up costing me dearly as I was exhausted from the effort to find them and ended up spending the first night in a nearby hotel. Neither my taxi driver nor any of the several people I asked were able to direct me to their place. My efforts to contact them by mobile phone were also frustrated by several factors. Once found it was fairly easy to find again. On the day that I left another woman arrived from the airport without any difficulty at all. I have suggested to the Grover's that it would be helpful to proactively provide information to their guests (such as how to operate the TV, when the electricity will be out [if they know], what to do in case of an emergency). They have a lovely roof top terrace that would be even more lovely if they kept a few molded plastic chairs there rather than relying on the house boy to bring up dining room chairs. I wholeheartedly recommend The Explorer's Nest to Jaipur visitors.close
