This hostel is fantastic value. The cost of staying here is so, so, so very cheap (9aus a night!). For the same price as a bed in an 8 person dorm in Prague i can get a private double room here...with change to buy a few beers. 145kc a night here. Local pub/bar is a work down the road where... more This hostel is fantastic value. The cost of staying here is so, so, so very cheap (9aus a night!). For the same price as a bed in an 8 person dorm in Prague i can get a private double room here...with change to buy a few beers. 145kc a night here. Local pub/bar is a work down the road where you can find peace in the 16kc beer prices. Main food costs in the area ~ 100kc/main (BIG main, and good quality) and ~40kc for a mid sized meal. Train from Prague to local station 110kc/person. Remember to ask about the cost of any service you are thinking of accepting from managment. As our pickup, and breakfast was only made aware to us as a cost after it had been provided. Do shopping on arrival at main town, before going to the hostel. It is in the middle of the Czech mountains, and is silent at night. At the time of writing this review the owner has gone to Prague for the day and left the 2 of us here, alone, in a silent, what i can only imagine was once a ski lodgeing. Rather spooky. If you want somewhere dead silent, quiet and amazingly maintained, then look no further. And hit the person next to you who just said the disgustingly low cost of this penzion means it is no good.close

this is a nice place, but it's a really really small village, so come with a bike if you want anything to do... it's a little tricky to find, but take the 2nd right up the hill from the bus stop in dalesice, keep going and you should see it.
