I think it was the best B&B I've ever seen. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts they serve are delicious. Just the location is not perfect, you may take about 10 minutes to the city if you decide to go on foot. But I would still highly recommend it.

Great PLace. Our room was very clean and well presented. Breakfast in the morning was the best we had on our 1 month trip around Italy. Its a BB, so not a place to meet people, but a prefect place for couples.

The Al Quadrofiglio is a really nice B&B. Davide and his wife are very friendly and their appartment is within walking distance to all the major sights (about 10 mins to the Arena). We would stay there again anytime.

The couple that run the B&B were both polite, kind and both took time to answer any questions we had about Verona from what sort of food was typical in the region to where to eat it. When we arrived, they took their time to explain no only what to visit in the city but also why each one was a...

This place is so cute and romantic. The morning breakfast is pretty much the cutest set up ever and the couple who's home it is is really nice. You have to stay quiet though cause they go to work early and the walls are really thin so you can hear everything.

I've booked it reading all these previous highly positive reviews about the "family" and "friendly" atmosphere in this BB, the super breakfast and so on. Actually I wouldn't be so excited about all this, it was not at all so good as it's described in the other reviews. The advantage of this place is low price, clean and quite normal size rooms with quite normal furniture (no TV in the room). Also, the breakfast room is quite nice and the breakfast is also normal, as there is good coffee, pastry, yogurts, cereals, and jams. Yes, those jams were homemade, but I actually would prefer some cheese or ham for the breakfast instead of this. So, actually there is nothing wrong with this place and I'd recommend it if you want to spare the money. But there were some things that really disturbed me! First of all when we arrived there was terrible sour smell in all the apartment, I don't know what it could be, but during all 2.5 days when we stayed there the smell was more or less all the time there. Secondly, we had shared bathroom with another room. The bathroom itself is quite small and there is no shower cabin, you have to shower standing in the bath. In general it resembled more the bathroom in somebody's apartment (not very renovated, not spotlessly clean) than the bathroom in the hotel. And the thing that disgusted me: there were used and opened bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom, as well as laps hanging - it looked unpleasantly. Do I have to use this things opened and used by the other people, or share it with my neighbors? My opinion is: otherwise you provide normal things (small soap, small shampoo…), or throw it away from the bathroom! Third, you have to register for the breakfast and precise the exact time you'll arrive according to the schedule proposed (8.00, 8.35 (I liked this), 9.00…) - so, no way to be late if you decide to sleep for another 10 minutes. The things that were strange were: "for the use of internet free donations are welcome", "after writing your review in this book please put the pen back to this box" or something like this. Sorry, I don't need these instructions. Concerning the Internet, every evening from about 9 p.m. it wasn't working anymore, I don't know for which reason, so don't expect to read your mails in the evening. Fourth, one of the persons living there don't speak English and when we arrived she didn't explain us anything, for example about the possibility to use the fridge in the kitchen. Fifth, the thing that I didn't like at all was the attitude of these people living there: they were looking at us with some kind of superiority, I don't know why, like "remember, you're living in our house". May be it wouldn't disturb me so much, if they wouldn't be present almost all the time in the same rooms (common room and the breakfast room). You'll have no privacy there. When you are having a breakfast they are sitting at the same table, eating and reading newspapers. They sit in the common room, using the Internet. So, I had only time the feeling to be supervised. For example I wanted to speak with my friend during the breakfast, but as they were sitting next to me in a silence or speaking very little I felt inconvenient to do it. Or should I speak with them? So, you feel like you've come there to visit this people in their house, you will not have any privacy and the feeling of being on your own. These were things that I didn't like at all and I'll never come back to this place. In addition, the house itself is not beautiful at all, it's ordinary house with the apartments and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the center by walk from there. This is a residential quarter, don't expect it to be the historical quarter. Though the quarter itself is quite normal, not dangerous, not dirty. There is a supermarket nearby. If I will be back to Verona I will maybe pay some more money, bud choose something in the historical center of the city.close
