On quite a hot afternoon we decided to find some freshness down under the city and we took a tour (in Italian we both speak French which is quite similar so we understood most of the comments) in the catacombs. <br><br>The visit was an hour and a half long starting from the 18th... more On quite a hot afternoon we decided to find some freshness down under the city and we took a tour (in Italian we both speak French which is quite similar so we understood most of the comments) in the catacombs. <br><br>The visit was an hour and a half long starting from the 18th century waste water system, it went on through a former WW2 shelters and an ancient Greek water reserve discovered at the end of a very narrow and humid corridor at the light of the candles we and our group carried, this was educational even though a bit disappointing as no mummies were on sight. <br><br>The visit finished up outside the caves back on the street of Naples were we were invited in a traditional Neapolitan town house to discover in its basement a very well preserved Roman theatre, this was absolutely amazing to see.close
