We had a small double room, with private shower/toilet.Water pressure was very low, so shower was not effective. For the rest just what we expected from a cheaper hotel. Well located for both walking as public transport, in a diry and noisy city. Pompei and the Vesuvius are great.

Clean but basic rooms. Quite small with very high ceilings. Found our first room was very noisy as right on the main road/roundabout. Moved to another room which was quieter. The hotel was extremely close to the trainstation which it said. However, this isn't the closest to other parts of Naples, unless you took the metro which was very easy to do.

Our bathroom was very, very small and we had to pay extra for air conditioning which we didn't realise when we booked. Remember to ask for a non-smoking room if you want it, we forgot and the smell was horrible. Otherwise, location great, breakfast pretty good and staff helpful.

The Hotel Ideal is a good base in order to see Naples and it's region: Very close to the main station (trains and buses) you can visit nearly every point in Campania.

Ok budget hotel. Proximity to train station a plus, but the area is somewhat shady. Charges extra for air-conditioning. Solo female travelers should be cautious of over-friedly owner.

basic but friendly and clean. kept hearing the area is dangerous but I had no trouble and it's very convinient. if I was going back to naples I'd book Ideal again.

The hotel is in the central, next to the railway station, bus station so it is a very good place in aspect of transportation, but because of this it is also loud. It is a very simple hotel. And the breakfast is very poor.

The hotel is very near the stazione centrale so this is a good point, but the area is very dirty and we did not feel comfortable at night. Also, we paid for a double bed and got twin beds in a very small room...when we said it to the staff, they just said to put the two beds together...they...

It is actually a real hotel and thus all the nice facilities of a hotel: nice room..etc...Yes, it is located in front of the train station. The entire building belongs to the hotel!! The only negative is that it doesnt have any in house elevator thus you have to walk up the the first floor for...

This hotel is very close to the station with easy access to the port. Best trips are to Capri and Pompeii. Becareful of the pick pockets especially on the bus into town and the port. Good restruant next door

This hotel is very close to the central train station. Although the neighbourhood nearby is slightly suspect (watch for pickpockets), the hotel itself seems very safe. The staff are friendly and very professional. I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Ideal, and would stay again next time I am in Naples.

For Naples, this hotel was extraordinary. Very cheap for the services offered and very friendly multilingual staff. Recommend the hotel but not Naples.

The room was dirty. We recieved numerous bites from the insects crawling around the room. Good location for catching our train connection to Como for our honeymoon but for our pre-honeymoon accomodation it was poor. Very unclean. Friendly staff though.
