Guy in charge is great. Breakfast isn't really a breakfast but still good. Very clean and secure far enough from station that you feel pretty safe.

Why should they touch my things? We had all this in one week. Also, it would be good to see some international TV channels, not only Italian ones so we can hear about the news and the weather forecast. The building is really beautiful and the new coffee machine in the hall is also very useful. But to have the same crosissant for breakfast every day is boring and if you have to catch your flight before 9, you are not provided any breakfast as the staff starts at 7,30.close

We spent one night in Gymnasium Hotel. The staff was extremely kind and helped us with some crucial tips about Naples. The safety was really good. You need four keys to enter your room! :) This is the best thing for the price...And Naples is the city you should visit...to eat pizza (pizza...

I had to checkout early so i missed breakfast, however it is included and they do bring it to your room. I would definitley stay here again.close

V. central and secure - you may want a room at the back if you cannot stand traffic noise (although rooms are double glazed). They actually had no record of our booking when we arrived (I don't know if this was their fault of hostelworld's fault), but they did everything they could to rectify the situation and we were no worse off. Btw, take care on crowded buses in Naples (most of them are). The pickpockets are very very adept - one stole a note from my wallet when I had my hand on it for the whole journey! Use a money belt to be safe. close

Nice enough hotel - cheap considering Campania's outrageous prices. If you can stay further away from the station, though, do it. It's a dangerous, dirty and very noisy area. And stay away from taxis around the station, too.

We actually got moved to the sister hotel the Schlizzer (I think) cause it was full, but with it we were upgraded to a double with our own bathroom for the same price. VERY clean and helpful, they let us use their internet for free, but a lot of older travelers and not many students.

I took the cancellation protection (and paid for it), and called the hotel to cancel. There were kind and told me OK to keep the deposit for next time I will go. The problem is the customer care of Hostelworld, that answered me in an unacceptable way. Therefore I won't use your services anymore,...

We really did get a breakfast delivered to the room, and it was the best "budget hotel" breakfast that we got the whole trip. the only promlem was getting there, it was about a 15-20 minute walk with suitcases from the station, and the hostelworls map the you print off makes it difficult to find the station and which direction to start walking. but stay here anyway, it is marked with flags on the outside and on the second floor of the building.close

I can only recommend this small hostel that gives you the feeling that you are in a hotel. Very good location, feels safe and helpful staff what do you need more? However, if you need the company of tens of other fellow travellers in a noisy lobby, then this is not for you.

The really good place to stay in Naples! The high quality for 'friendly' prices. Comfortable and clean rooms and bathrooms, kind and English speaking staff, good location. The breakfast in the room was a really nice thing. I highly recommend!

I also rung earlier that day to say my flight did not get in until 10pm and the girl on reception said this was fine. When we arrived at 11pm, there was NO BODY there to let us in. We had to pay the cost of the taxi returning us to the airport and pay for ANOTHER, more expensive hotel. When I spoke to the hotel the next day the girl said she finished at 9pm. She also looked at the hotel diary and there was my name with 11pm beside it! So she couldn't say that they were not aware. She tried to state this was a one off situation, but the next night the girl was off again at 9pm., so who knows what happened to those arriving after 9pm. The hotel is actually really nice and good value for money and only about 15min walk from the main train station, but don't bother booking with them UNLESS you plan to be there before 9pm.close
