“ For 6 Euro, you can visit the Dome seperate from the Church. I recommend you go early in the morning it opens at 8:30am. The lines get long and the day gets hot. It is not air conditioned in the dome and can get quite hot climbing all the stairs. ”

“ The masterpiece of Brunelleschi, the cupola (dome) consists actually of two domes, one inside the other. He built it in that way to make the building more resistant and self-supporting. If you’re fit enough, climb to the top. It’s almost 500 steps, but it’s worth it. The view is fantastic ”
