Further down the road from Villa Petraia, you'll see Villa Bel Riposo. Carlo Lorenzi Collodi, the author of Pinocchio lived here while he was writing this popular story. It is peaceful & quiet, situated on the hills away from the hustle & bustle with excellent views of Firenze. The owner was very welcoming, friendly & helpful. The apartments were beautifully & cleanly kept. We rented 2 apartments and it was big enough to accommodate 6 of us. There are 3 St Bernards which can help to keep the place secure but if you are afraid of dogs (like me), kindly inform the owner. He is very understanding. We had a wonderful time at Casa Covacchia. We will recommend it to anyone (only those who is on driving holiday) visiting Firenze! :)close

Great place to relax! However, there are two things to keep in mind: 1) DO NOT walk from the bus to the hotel (its about 45 minutes up hill). 2) When paying, it has to be done in cash.
