Try to take a big room. Small double ones are a little bit ugly, althogh they're good enough. The woman in charge was very carefull and helpfull to us. It's a very good choice for travelers who doesn't have much money.

The worst stay I had while in europe, not only is there a curfew at 1a.m. but if you come in at 11pm you still feel guilty because you wake up the one woman working there who is very very "nice." I felt like I was staying at an overprotective aunt's house.

It was pretty hard to find the place (I would suggest not arriving at night), but once you did, it was in a very convenient location. The beds weren't too comfortable, but they were adequate. Perfect little hotel, and you couldn't ask for a better location unless you were trying to rent out a room in the Duomo. You have to be back by 1:00am and there isn't anything to do in the Hotel... but if that isn't what you are looking for and you want an unbelievable location then this is your...

Was fantastic when I stayed there with my friend...The lady treated us as her daughters...although could be perceived as nosy.haha, she always enquired where we were going etc.It made us feel very comfortable and safe..hope others have the same experience!ps.clean, good location, etc etc!

Excellent location, right next to a very good market! The staff gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. The place is very clean and i would recommend it to anyone who chooses a visit to Florence

Great location, great room, great staff, very very clean. I had to pay in cash, which according to HostelWorld I didn\'t have to, and checkout was at 10am which I thought was a bit early. Other than that, AWESOME!!!

The owner of the Pensione Canada was the kindest and most helpful woman I've ever had at a hostel! The location was amazing. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Extremely friendly staff. The only minor issue was that the bathroom was on the otherside of the foyer which was a bit of a pain when you were in your PJ's and you had to walk through reception to get to the loo. Street noise a little bit loud but it would depend on which side of the Pensione...

location is amazing, but loud as you are on a busy night street and a block away from the Dumo. Hostess is amazing and has excellent dinner recommendations. place was very clean including the shared bathroom, which was spotless

The owner was so friendly and helpful! We loved staying here. The only two downsides were you couldn't shower after 9:30PM because of noise restrictions and you had to give your room key back to reception if you left the building. Otherwise wonderful!

i came to this hostel based on the ratings of www.hostelworld.com and was NOT disappointed. the owner was very nice and the rooms were clean AND you are a stone's throw from EVERYTHING....literally at your doorstep...i would come back again in a heartbeat.

Just like staying with your grandma - super clean, even with a shared bathroom. Near very inexpensive food /shopping. The only downsides are no free breakfast, the 1am curfew and the touristy area.

The hostel is very central, only a minute walk to the centre of Florence. The owner was very friendly and helpful, telling us about good restaurants etc. The room was very clean (cleaned and tidied everyday) as was the bathroom.
