We booked a private room with a private bathroom, which we paid for, but were given a shared apartment with at least 2 other people sharing the bathroom. The bathroom and room we stayed in were pretty dirty also, definitely the dirtiest of the places we stayed. This is an excellent hostel selection if you plan to visit Florence. It is clean, safe, has computers in its rooms, laundry facility, basically, everything you can ask for in a hostel. I will only improve the directions to the Hostel from the Train Station as the building is not clearly marked on... more This is an excellent hostel selection if you plan to visit Florence. This was an amazing hostel. If you are a younger couple not wanting to spend the money for a 5-star place, but want some privacy, this is your place. Very friendly and helpful!

It's good to stay as it's really near the train station. Marco is very nice host as same as his sister. The room is big and with all equipments-LCD TV with cable, and internet in room! it seems like stay at home. We recommend here for sure.

We stayed in the newer Maison de Charme so we got free internet access in our room! The balcony view is an added bonus. Marco and the staff are friendly and know the in-and-outs of the area. The cafe nearby offers discounts for breakfast if you mentioned you are from Luna Rossa. Great for young...

Great place to stay in a great location. Marco is such a nice guy and a very accomodating host. Having a TV and computer with internet in the room is fantastic!!! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Florence.

Great character and Marco was really helpful. Actually it was perfect, next time I'll go to Florence I would stay here definately! Maybe it's a good idea to make a list of the best/cheapest restaurants/bars, because we couldn't find a lot..

Good location, close to train station and walking distance to all other attractions. Marco was great! Helping us with our heavy bags, calling to make dinner or activity reservations, and always available by message over the computer. He even let me stay in the livingroom after we had checked out to wait for our train because I wasn't feeling well! Thanks again!close

Very close to the main central station, and everything is pretty close together in Florence. Our private room had a flat screen TV with Sky and also a PC with internet, very handy! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

thought we were on a winner with this acc as the reviews sounded great. rocco checked us in and scribbled god knows what on the map so we couldn't understand. THE STENCH IN OUR ROOM DID NOT SURFACE UNTIL LATE THAT NIGHT FROM THE BATHROOM AND IT DID NOT LEAVE. Marco was terrific..friendly and helpful. He took our luggage to the Hotel National and carried it up the three flights of steps himself! The room was clean, had a computer and internet access, a flat screen TV and a huge privatae bath! The location was convenient. Our room was in a great location, close to everything. Marco was great host! He gave us all the information we needed on getting around in Florence even before we had a chance to ask him for it. He even offered to make reservations at the museums for us. We will def recommend staying at Luna...

Marco and Anna were both really really helpful and gave us some excellent advice. Free internet in your room was excellent as was the sky tv - watching the soccer after a day exploring florence was brilliant. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Luna Rossa is great! A very small hostel with only 3 or 4 rooms.Therefor it's very quiet. The room is spacious and even has a computer(free internet)and hairdryer in it. Marco is very helpful and friendly, helped us make reservation for museums. Within 5 minutes walk to train station. Also... more Luna Rossa is great! The owner Marco is wonderful! Very helpful in terms of where to go also! There's a lot of amenities provided such as cable tv, computer, free wi-fi, hairdryer, and even laundry if needed at no extra cost!! =) And it's only like 5-7 min. walk away from the train station- perfect!! =)
