Great location, you could go to palazzo vechio faster than going to your bathroom. The nice lady told us all we needed to know about florence and what to visit. The only spot is that after 2 nights, things were beginning to be dirty. For everything else, nice place to stay.

Alekin is a very clean and peaceful place! Although there's no kitchen, we really enjoyed it. Lady who's name is Veronica was very pleasant and helpful. The room wasn't decorative, but clean and spacious. And we're in the middle of the Florence! Just a few minutes from Uffizi's and Palazzo Vecchio!

Great location, right in the heart of Florence! Minutes from many great sights. Manager was extremely friendly and helpful in all aspects. Took us about 30 minutes to figure out the Florence street numbering system and find the hostel, so ask first before looking :)

So that won't be anymore a problem, and becouse the location is very central it so for visiting is perfect but when you are inside ther is a lot of noise from the street, the good thing is that the windows when shot keep a lot of the noise out so you can rest and only 2 rooms are on the side of the road the other they have windows to the in-court so is very quite. there is no a common room but anyway you still can meet a lot of people and enjoy your stay. All in all I would reccommend....!!!close

Once we found the place, we had to walk back toward the train station to another location to a hostel called "Leonardo." It was a better location and was a nice place, close to the Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo, and other great sights. We had requested a double with shared bathroom but got a private bath instead. It was comfortable and the bathroom was enough and it had hot water. The guy that checked us in was incredibly helpful! He circled places on the map of where to go, what to see, where to eat, and what bars we should go to. This was the best place we stayed in during our time in Italy and would definitely stay there again!close

No one mentioned the SEVEN FLIGHTS OF STIRS that where necessary to reach the hostel on the top floor, nor that the owner was a smelly creep. After our first night, a large group of Asian tourists stayed down the hall and all of the toilet paper was used and the toilets became clogged. Naturally, the toilet paper was never replaced and the toilets never unclogged. The distustingness of the bathrooms themselves warrant a look elsewhere. Would not recommend.close

Not what I expected, It was a great deal for the money as everything in Venice is so expensive, and it includes breakfast. They were very pleasant and offered us everything we needed and more. Keep in mind this is more of a bed and breakfast than a hostel. Thanks so much for a great stay!
