Our camp site is situated 5 km south of Florence overlooking the monastery of "Certosa"... on the welcoming florentine hills it offers you a quiet, peasceful rest in the hills with the incomparable view of Certosa and Florence, together with the possibility of easy excursions to Florence and historic places like San Gimignamo, Volterra, Siena etc. You can aslo visit the whole Chianti area with its ancient farms and vineyards. Our services include a bar, mini market, restaurant, campe service, free hot showers, washing and drying machines, public kitchen, ironing room, play ground and a free swimming pool which is open during the summer months. And at reception you can buy bus tickets, telephone cards, postage stamps, souvenirs, camping supplies and gas refills.

Staff very rude, unhelpfull, aggressive, and patronising. Things advertised werent available. Very long uphill walk to the accomadation from reception so wouldnt advise it for anyone with big bags, back problems, heart problems, anyone slightly unfit or anyone who wants a relaxing time! Very long uphill walk to the accomadation from reception so wouldnt advise it for anyone with big bags, back problems, heart problems, anyone slightly unfit or anyone who wants a relaxing time! There is no way of getting your bags up the hill without carrying it yourself, however old you are. Staff completely refuse to help at all. After all this you still have to treck 5km to get into the city. The nearest bus stop into the city is about a 15 minute walk along a narrow road being used by trucks- there is no pavement. Campsite is also very close to the motorway.close

It's a little out of the way from the city. Can take you upwards of and hour to get into town from the moment you leave the site.

where the heck was this place? i couldn't find it with their directions. i asked several people at the train station and none of them heard about it. we ended up staying at another campsite

The hut there is very comfortable to stay and the dinner there is good value too, the only thing is that it is quite far away from transport.
