A great place to stay, away from the tourist crush in Sultanhamet, but close to great restaurants, bars, cafes, Taksim Square which means locals who aren't trying to sell you a hyper-inflated rug. Only drawback was the mosque next door, which means you're going to be awake early, whether you...

I liked staying in this hostel very much. The location is excellent. Step outside the hostel and you are in the busy life of Istanbul. The rooms are clean and the matresses are excellent!! I would definety go there again

The hostel is very well located, and the staff is quite nice. However, the rooms are not vey comfortable (in my room we just had 1 sheet per bed, for example, and there was a big hole all dirty up the bathroom).

one night we had rain coming through the walls into our room which caused damage at a book which we borrowed from the library. although the staff understood our problem perfectly well (it seemed) they didn't do the slightest attempt to compensate our damage. furtheron the bathroom smelled.

Came to hostel coz I heard Beyoglu was more fun than Sultanhamet, but this hostel was not really as social as those I've stayed at in Sultanhamet

The hostel should try to replace the fans that don't work! Overall, the hostel is excellent. The staff are wonderful, the location is fantastic (although light sleepers should be aware that the morning call to prayer is quite loud), and the accommodations are definitely worth the price. Great...

We was in a private room ensuite, with a balcony. We had a very nice time. It was clean, quiet and very nice straff and good breakfast. And they were all very nice to our baby daughter.

Altogether very relaxed atmosphere and perfect location! Not very impressed by the breakfast, but it is fresh and included :). Staff was friendly and helpful, and I have had a great time.

Is nicely located within walking distance from both funky Beyoglu and Sultanamet. Friendly staff and great atmosphere in common area. Only down side was free breakfast didn't start until 9.30am, and they didn't provide topsheets, just a bottom sheet and duvet.

Apart from some cat in our room (we aree alergic to cats) hostel wasnt to bad, good spot, lady even did our laundry for us, for a small fee of course. Stairs were a killer though, 3 stars.

World House Istanbul is fab. The staff was excellent and my roommates (all seven of them) were nothing but friendly and conversational. It really made my experience in Istanbul.

I've stayed at a lot of great hostels all across Europe getting here and this is definatly one of the best. Don't let the cheap price make you think its not very good. I've only stayed at this hostel in Istanbul, so I don't know the other ones, but I will come back here without thinking about staying at another. Highly recommended. Peace Happy Travelsclose

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and well located hostel. I felt like if I was at home! Especially good the double bed room. The next time I come to Istanbul I'll come back to the World House Istanbul.
