90%Metropolis Hostel

A very good, clean hostel with friendly, helpful,accomodating yet non-intrusive staff. It is convenient for local attractions, restaurants and public transport yet quiet enough if you need to rest during the day. If I am fortunate enough to return to Istanbul, I will definitely look them up! :-)

This hostel was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms and bathrooms were always very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the view was beautiful from all windows, the location was fantastic, and again, the staff was great!

This Youth Hostel is absolutely AMAZING,guys. Wonderful place, awesome people (the owners are two brothers who know absolutely EVERYTHING about istanbul), and the roof terrace is....FANTASTIC!

If you are going to Istanbul THIS is the place to stay. Owned by 4 brothers, they have created a great hostel with the rooms clean and comfy, the bathrooms spotless and the breakfast is just right! If you have any questions the guys (namely Cezar) are always helpful and so friendly. Quiet yet fun...

We had a very nice time at the Metropolis hostel. Staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. They have a good sense of humor too. The area was nice and quiet. The breakfast was tasty. We would definitely book there again...

not a bad hostel, great location but quite cramped and not a very good vibe in the hostel. plus my friends wallet was stolen from our room during the night, but cant blame the hostel personel for that.

A good place to stay, we were in double room. No possiblity to make a double-size bed and a little bit noisy. Room is quite small, satellite TV with a lot of channels is a bonus.

Metropolis hotel is ok, though perhaps the area is not the best where to stay in my opinion as it is very touristy; also, the hotel only had a couple of toilets and showers and there were huge queues every day to use them, which is not ideal.

The power was out when I was there so with no air conditioning it was boiling. Maybe invest in a generator :-)

Great location and spotlessly clean. Delicious brekkie on the fantastic roof terrace. Only concern is the security - add some lockers in the rooms and this place is 100%!!

this hostel is excelent. great location and very clean. staff is very friendly and helpfull. they are ready to help you 24 h as they are also living at hostel. the breakfakst at roof top was excelent and very tasty. also you should try metropolis restaurant around corner. we had our best meal there.

Terrible smell in bedroom coming from sewer system presumably caused by no or blocked stand pipe. Bathroom ensuite nice and clean but would not have stayed another night because of the smell.

This is a great little hostel and by far the cleanest and nicest place we stayed in Turkey. The rooms were small but beautiful and very clean and the bathrooms were soooooooo clean (so appreciated after many horribly dirty bathrooms around the country). The staff was very nice and friendly.

Has a great location -close to many of the sites in old Istanbul but it is a bit hard to find when arriving with all your stuff.Some of staff were a bit cocky and unpleasant but over all a decent place to stay.

The brothers who run the hostel and the cafe around the corner are very nice guy. Quite relaxed and willing to answer your questions/give info. The double we had was spacious and air conditioned. The shared bathroom was quite clean and well-equipped, especially for Turkey. The roof-top...

Great location, near all the sights but just off the main backpacker street so pretty quiet. I stayed in a dorm with an ensuite. Great view but very hot room. Traditional Turkish breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace. Staff were friendly enough but not really too forthcoming with info on...

Very clean and excellent staff!! The location with its roof top terrace is beyond words. Breakfast was slim but decent. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, I was a girl traveling by myself, and would recommend it to anyone.

The rooftop terrace has a great view of the harbour & the pansion is well loacated near to tourist sites in the old town, although the area is quite touristy. The place was bright & clean & staff were friendly & helpful but our 4 bed dorm was VERY cramped.

Not really an hostel!! Beside the great seaview terrace, it was an ok dormitory, clean enough, but with no kitchen, no laundry, no common room and not even a fridge!And the staff wouldnt move one step of their way! Choose another one if u really want an hostel!

If you are planning to stay at this hostel, be sure to book everything online. If you don't book online there is a good chance you will get asked to leave due to double booking conflicts. The place is ok, but there are several others in the area that are not online and are much nicer and less...
