great location thats about it. couldnt sleep for fear of being eaten alive by mosquitos in the room and stained, dirty carpets. bathroom facilities surprisingly good though.

Take this advise, ask if your dorm has any windows, chances are you'd be stuck in a cave like room LMAO!

A nice cheap hostel, you pay for what you get. good socialising area, with pool table bar etc.... location is v. good

Staff could have been much more friendly and helpful. I felt that I was always a pain in their neck. The Information Guy on the 1st floor was never in and on the one time I did luck out and find him he was not very knowledgeable or helpful.

the hostel is very good for the price and the location is perfect. I would like to especially thank Tugrul (the hostel manager) for helping me catch the robber of my bag .... I had a really adventurous, but still nice stay in Istanbul and when, because I will come back I will stay in the Cordial...

Great location, near Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Grand Bazaar. All within a 5/10 minute walk. It has to be the best thing about this hostel. It was also very clean, and the staff were helpful when you asked them. We felt secure and safe staying there. Staff seem to be bored of working there, no smiling faces. We booked a double bed room and got a room with three beds, musty smell around the place. Excellent location. Close to sights and supermarket. Hostel is spotless, bathrooms are big and plentiful. We booked 2 dorm beds in an 8 bed dorm but had room to ourselves. The worst hostel I've ever stayed in. Staff unfriendly, room as hot as a sauna with a broken fan and a musty smell around the place. Only stay here if a last resort.

Most things were bad. No social life, dirty, some of the staff really unhelpfull. Location is ok but ts not located with most of the other hostels so you miss out of that area a bit. Costly internet, costly breakfast. There are nicer places in the same area of Istanbul at almost the same price,...

I didn't get sheets on either night I stayed, but it was ok because it was soooo bleeding warm all night. Basic accomodations, but the price and the location are right, and the desk guys are extremely nice

WE had a lovely time at Cordial House. Nice breakfast, colourful and chirpy with the guests hanging around the bar and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and you can just sit in the bar, drink Efes and watch VH1 if that is your cup of tea.

There wasn't a lot of social activity at the hostel besides the fun we had in our dorm. The location was great, right next to the main attractions.

We booked a double WITH DOUBLE BED, they gave us a dingy little triple. If that wasnt enough of an insult the room smelt awful and felt like a dirty hovel. No air-con. Pricey internet. No Kitchen. Liked hostel until receptionist got nasty w/me for coming back 3 hrs after checkout. I’d told him I would reserve online 1 more night. He’d said online was better for the hostel too. I'd really appreciate the air-condition in the room. The fan was just for fun :). Anyway, good position, good price and nice people. If I come back, I'll be here again .

Cordial House was very adequate for our needs, and the staff was very accommodating, going beyond protocol to help us, because one of us was not feeling well. I would recommend it very much.
