Just few notes: Beds were comfortable, but you would rather change the pillows to a bit soft ones. Also you have mistated the fact that towels are for hire; as I remember they were given free of charge :-))).close

I suppose that if you've spent a year living in a hut, you might find the Chillout Hostel acceptable but it's unlikely that anybody expecting things like housekeeping, privacy or even a place to plug in your mobile phone will relax here.

The location was probably the best part about this place. Kinda dark and dingy but the beds are comfortable and the staff is pretty cool. Breakfast was great.

Has a far better atmosphere than the hostels I stayed at in Sultanahmet (Bauhaus, Sydney and Sultans) and the staff are more laid back I think. Plus this place is in the heart of Taksim - which is the real Istanbul - not like tourist orientated Sultanahmet.

rooms are very shattered and dirty, ensuite bathrooms are worse than the shared one. Breakfast is very poor - bread and some slices of tomato and cucumber

There's not even enough room to change. Most of the time we couldn't even walk because everyone's stuff had to be stuck in the pathway. Six inches of snow fell the day I arrived. They didn't turn on the heat. At all. Absolutely no lockers or anything else to protect your stuff during the day. Some really nice people, some really freaky people. But I paid 5 Euros, so...close
