Checked in late one evening and they had already given up my bed to somebody else. Luckily a couple decided to sleep on one bed to make room for me. Also, bed sheets had blood on it... other than that, great location but I'm sure there are better run hostels in the area.

loved BİGAPPLE HOSTEL! The staff are frendly proprty memochan and pasa they speak japanes korean spanish ! The place is kept clean and the security is good. The rooftop terrace is a great place to hang out and meet people.very clean room lovely breakfast and terrace I would definately...

The only slight negative point is that our room could have been a bit cleaner. We had a REALLY GREAT TIME there, and will stay in Big Apple Hostel the next time as well !!!close

Fantastic Hostel!! Stayed for 3 nights when I first arrived and had a great time!! I returned back there after my travels throughout Turkey!!! I loved the breakfast on the roof terrace with views that overlook the Bosphorus River!! The staff are super cool and friendly!!!

The renovations are great and the place is kept really clean. However, the fun level was definitely lowered as opposed to last year. Maybe it is the different set up with the roof being the kitchen now and not a lounge area. The asian staff worker was awesome. The turkish guy seems to either be missing a few marbles or is a tool. But again, the rooms (especially the private ones) are very nice!close

awesome location minutes from blue mosque in Sultanahmet, staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. Hostel was really clean and has great views from the rooftop terrace/bar.

Big Apple is clean and freshly painted. The bathrooms are very nice. There's a great rooftop patio with a view of the Bosphorus River and the location is excellent. The staff are really kind and helpful. Very nice people!

I enjoyed staying at The Big Apple. When I travelled the world in the Seventies such places had the most basic of facilities so by comparison this was paradise. Only the boss seemed friendly and helpful. The other staff members seemed disinterested in helping and giving advise when asked. The roof top would of been good but we had bad weather.

Awesome locatıon especıally for walkıng to the Grand Bazar and for goıng for runs ın the mornıng along the waterfront!!! Breakfast ıs huge and you can eat as much as you want whıch ıs awesome

Big Apple was so welcoming and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous, with lovely views. The Roof top bar was excellent for kicking back and relaxing, or to meet up with other people for a few more drinks. Pasha was such a help during my first few days in Istanbul. Showing me around and taking me for great local food. He also took me to the funkiest little place to smoke the water pipe. It was a great time! I will be staying there again when I return in October. Thanks so much!

Istanbul is a fantastic city and staying at this hostel made it even more enjoyable. Free breakfast and 3 computers with free internet. Nice clean rooms and an awesome roof top bar overlooking to river. The location on backpackers lane is ideal and I would definatley recommend staying here.

The buffet breakfast ıs the best, rooftop terrace ıs perfect and the general vıbe ıs very genuıne and relaxed. Most of staff are really cool, confortable rooms(even the dorms), amazing roof top bar restaurant, average cleanlinees at night though...anyway, if I go back to Istanbul, I probably gonna stay there again.

Big Apple is a good hostel. Staffs are friendly. Location is in the middle of Sultan Ahmet. Bathroom is clean. I can exactly recommend.

Great Staff. -Very friendly and helped me book my bus ticket to Cappadocia. I loved the rooftop and the location was fantastic. I met lots of great ppl!!!
