This is a bar/restaurant- we came in for some pub grub on New years eve & had the normal sambos & soup etc. The food was very good & fresh & service was excellent. What set the bar above from the rest was the staff- there was a lovely girl looking after our table & she really... more This is a bar/restaurant- we came in for some pub grub on New years eve & had the normal sambos & soup etc. The food was very good & fresh & service was excellent. What set the bar above from the rest was the staff- there was a lovely girl looking after our table & she really stayed on top of the orders for both drink & food. We came in for lunch & ended up staying for a few hours- when we were going the manager gave us free passes to their New year's party that night which included bubbly & canapes- we didn't end up going but it was a very nice touch. We returned the following morning/lunch time & had a lovely brekkie (as our B&B decided not to do brekkie). It was a little odd as they say breakfast finishes at 12 but they don't open till 12, but when we got in the staff remembered us & offered to cook whatever we wanted for brekkie! So smiles all round. Its not gourmet food its pub-grub but its good pub grub at that.close
