I was there in off season and was raining a fair bit, the town doesn't have to much there but there is alot around the area-Croagh Patrick etc. As with alot of Irish towns the pubs were excellent, particularly Matt Malones. Food in Ireland is pretty rubbish in general so food here no...more I was there in off season and was raining a fair bit, the town doesn't have to much there but there is alot around the area-Croagh Patrick etc. As with alot of Irish towns the pubs were excellent, particularly Matt Malones. Westport ist not very big. YOu could travel through the city centre in 15 min. There are some nice shops and cafe's. Westport has an harbour and a nice park. And we rented bikes and rode for about an hour to Murrisk to climb Croagh Patrick. If you attempt that wear good shoes! And don't expect it to be easy. It's very very rocky and very very steep if you go to the top.close

Three of our party ordered steaks, 2 of them requesting rare – all 3 steaks were delivered to the table well done. As for the desserts – don’t even go there. A must for pub food! A family run business which is located down by the Quays in this beautiful town. A varied menu to suit all tastes.

  2. JJ O Malleys100%

Located in the heart of Westport, J.J. O’Malleys is renowned for its large and varied worldwide cuisine menu. They have a lovely restaurant upstairs and the food is yum, they serve great seafood. The bar is great fun, and the cocktails are good too - watch out for the hen parties!
