A bit of a walk from everything, and on a main street, but if you can sleep through a little traffic noise and don't mind walking a short way, I don't think you can beat the character of this hostel.close

It is not in Waterford City. I'm probably the only guy who thought it was but it is close to the bus stop and Tramore is very nice. The Manager was always very helpful and it was nice and clean.

A word of warning, there is no alcohol allowed in the hostel at all, so if you're looking to take the party back to the hostel...don't! We received quite a stern request to keep quiet from one of the owners at 4 in the morning.... Quite right too, I suppose. I just didn't expect it to be so strict. Breakfast was extra, but it was well worth it.close

The noisiest placed we ever stayed. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the room next to ours and in the toilets as well. Everything else was perfect, but if you like to sleep, avoid!

The staff at the hostel were excellent and the conditions were gorgeous. A smaller, quieter place that was very low key. A short walk to the beach and the pubs.

The upstairs shower leaked through the floor and there was no window curtain, but the downstairs showers were fine.

No WiFi in the hostel. You have to go to the hotel lobby (next building) but the host says she doesn't like hostel people in there. Not convenient at all. No hot water at 9:00AM.

Nice place to stay - good location a short walk from the beach area. Lots of restaurants close by, and a great place to stop along the south coast.

Walls were very thin and the bed squeaked like crazy. One large group of people arrived at about 3am and had a loud conference in the hallway! Otherwise no complaints

We stopped in this town of Tramore for one night and stayed here. Its about a five minute walk from town/the beach/the pier (promenade) and they've got some nice food in the area. Quiet little town. It rained so we spent the day doing laundry there and watching tv and stuff, nice relaxing day...

The location is perfect for those who like crowds and touristic area. However, being ecquipped with a car the vicinity is an excellent rural area for escaping into wilderness. For us who are used to warm Adriatic sea wouldn't dare swimming in Tramore's waters(or anywere else in Ireland)......

The family who owns the place makes you feel extremely welcome and are very accomodating. The breakfast is worth the 7 euro and the showers are great. I definately recommend this place to those who are trying to escape the big city life and relax a bit. There are good pubs near by as well. Thanks...

This place was ok, not much to do except for a fun fair, although the surrounding senic drives are stunning if you have a car. Just a warning for anyone who likes to party at a hostel, this place has a strictly no alcohol policy which was not an issue for us, but might be for someone else. There...

It was a great place to stay regardless, and Tramore has its own nightlife, so going Waterford for the evening is not necessary.close

This is not in waterford, its in Tramore, a depressing little suburb with a funfair/carnival. There is a beach there but unless the weather is nice (which i assume it rarely is) its just dank and depressing.

The location is good if you´re looking for a calm night or two away, but if you´re looking to stay in Waterford, I would not suggest here. It was very cozy around the fireplace though, and the owners could not have been sweeter!

I liked this place. The only thing was there could have been better directions from the bus because the driver didn't know where to drop me off. You need to go one stop further than the main station in Tramore and it's across the road.
