Originally a fishing lodge with its own harbour, this hostel overlooks Lough Feeagh in a really beautiful area of Co. Mayo. The hostel is situated at the crossroads of the Western Way and the Bangor Trail. Great walking, cycling, fishing, and swimming on the lake amid wonderful peace and solitude. Within walking distance are many sites of historical and archaeological interest. **Please note that Hostelling International members are entitled to a €2.00 discount on production of a valid membership card in arrival**

Stunning location amongst forest, lough and mountains, beautiful old house set in the middle of nowhere! Very comfortable beds, although common area lacks atmosphere and a bit cold at times and the bathrooms are not very clean.

Though the location was very pretty, one needs to have a car or other means of transportation to get there as it is remote. The stay was lovely however, and the beds are quite nice. I enjoyed my stay and I think others will also.

Excellent for hiker, because scenic landscape and near the nature. For people, which go in a pub in the evening: this hostel isn`t the correct addresse!

Beautiful old building in a wonderful location. Good for walking, swimming and fishing. Living room has a fireplace. Owner goes out of her way to make everybody welcome. Recommended.
