The above comments are for Hermes Hotel, Hostelworld allowed us to book rooms at Brothers but failed to inform us that when we arrived the hotel had been closed for 2 weeks, It was not a huge deal as we got another room easy enough, Hermes was a great place, not much going on on the island as its... more The above comments are for Hermes Hotel, Hostelworld allowed us to book rooms at Brothers but failed to inform us that when we arrived the hotel had been closed for 2 weeks, It was not a huge deal as we got another room easy enough, Hermes was a great place, not much going on on the island as its low season but great rooms clean and amazing views and nick was a champ. Will definitely book there again next summer. I'm sure if we had the chance to stay at brothers it would have been great too.close

Very very nice place to stay in Ios! It's run by a family and it's very close to the port. The rooms are very nice and affordable, i was paying the same for a room to myself with a bathroom, as i was in Athens for a big dorm! The staff are very friendly and answered all my questions. A short walk to get to the beach by the port, maybe a 20 min walk to get into the "Village". Definitely a good place to stay if you want to be away from the party area.close

Nicky and Lisa were great host's, and helpful in every way. Although the hotel is a bit out of the way (yet quite close to the port), this actually is an attibute for those who are seeking a quieter time on an otherwise infamously non-quiet island. Bravo to Nicky and Lisa, and also to Grace who...

The location was away from all the action, but we preferred this as it was nice and quite. Nicki and Lisa are amazing! The pool is wonderful and the rooms are very clean. Several young people found it a great place to stay for sleeping in the day and partying at night. We absolutly loved it!

Great place to stay. The owner went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Big clean rooms and a great pool. Free transfer from the port. You can't ask for a better experience!!!!!

Nick met me at the harbor, gave a quick explanation of how to get about town, explained the bus system and recommended places to eat. Upon Departure, also received ride to harbor. Hotel is short walk from harbor and beach. Swimming pool is clean very clean and water was cold, on a very hot day.

we LOVED this hotel - great prices and staff. it's super quiet and mellow (note to ios partiers: this is not really the place for you!) the perfect spot for a quiet vacation. the town is a short bus ride away, though, and is not a problem to get to. this IS the place to stay if you're in ios!

A little out of the way but these are the friendliest people... EVER! The distance was often mooted by Niki's offer of a ride in his ever moving red van. Plus they'll do your laundry for you for prices lower than if you did it yourself.
