Ios City Guide

overall city rating 76%

A small Greek island in the Aegean Sea, Ios is a favourite destination with those looking to enjoy some sun, sea and sand. Milopotas is probably the most popular beach on the island. If you’re looking for something a bit more historical, you could check out the site where Homer, the famous Greek poet, is supposedly buried. At night head towards Hora, which is the main town on Ios. This is where you’ll find most of the island’s top restaurants, along with a cracking selection of clubs and bars.

The food is fabulous, with every owner treating you like a guest in their own home. We received tons of free drinks and dessert. The nightlife is amazing.

Ios is an amazing island. We went during off season in late March so there were not many tourists. In the summer, however, it's a zoo of party animals. So this island has both partying and relaxing times depending on when you go. The beaches were very nice, and the people were very… more
