A small Greek island in the Aegean Sea, Ios is a favourite destination with those looking to enjoy some sun, sea and sand. Milopotas is probably the most popular beach on the island. If you’re looking for something a bit more historical, you could check out the site where Homer, the famous Greek poet, is supposedly buried. At night head towards Hora, which is the main town on Ios. This is where you’ll find most of the island’s top restaurants, along with a cracking selection of clubs and bars.

cmacd2363 says: “ Ios was perfect. We went in the off season but still had a blast. The beach was warm and beautiful and the main town is charming and picturesque.
