Very good value for money, a little way out of Interlaken central but a 2 minute drive by car (free parking at the hotel). Would recommend.

A very nice hotel but quite far from the town center. However it's worth if you want a very pictureque view from your room.

Brilliant location overlooking Interlaken. We had a car so it was easy for us to get everywhere and the room was a good size

Is roughly 15 to 20 mins walk from the main station and the shopping area BUT the walk is worth it as the scenery at the hotel is non-comparable. Love it! Breakfast is good and rooms are clean. Lady boss is a very lovely woman with best service. Overall EXCELLENT stay. Is my 2nd time there...

This is a great location, better if you have a car, but still only a 20 min walk into Interlaken. Beautiful view from the rooms. Breakfast is good. Staff very nice. I would recommend it.

Just outside of Interlaken, this budget hotel is perfect. Cute cabin-style hotel with an amazing view of Interlaken, staff is very friendly and more than helpful. Reccomend to anyone!

The bedroom was a half-basement room as if remodeled from a storage which was very damp and smelled to much of mold for a person to stay. We requested a change in our room to the counter. But Gasthof just sleep in that room which isn't so bad. Nice view, very friendly staff, good food. Though it is not easily walkable from Interlaken ost, but one can easily utilize the hourly bus service. I would recommend this.

We had a great stay here. Our room was clean and quaint. The location was wonderful because it was away from the "touristy" area, and only a short walk away from Interlaken. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast on the balcony was amazing with good food and a breathtaking...

except for location, this is a good hotel with character, clean and tidy, a very efficient woman to administer everything. try the food here, it was very delicious esp the Macaroni and red wine Cheung , HK

Commuting from the location to Interlaken Ost is bit difficult. You can not get early morning trains as Bus services are not quite often. Also tariff looks to be little bit on higher side. Rest everything was great.

Absolutely amazing! By far one of the best, most friendly places we have stayed. Mountain, river and valley views from the rooms. Minutes (seriously) outside of Interlaken in a great town with an awesome lake

Great place to stay in Interlaken. A 15 minute walk from the town but it overlooks the town and is very quiet with a good complimentary breakfast and staff. You even get a treat on leaving. Has a wonderful view from a good restaurant.

The man that checked us not very nice. The woman that took care of us for breakfast was fantastic. Know that this hostel is outside of Interlaken, and it is about a 15 minute walk into town, all downhill however. Not too bad.

Gastoff Schoenig was by far the worst place we stayed. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. The amount of money we paid was more than any other place in Europe and we received substantially less value. The woman who apparently ran the place was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. The location was a significant hike from Interlaken and the bus only ran once an hour. The room was not very clean and the bathroom was a wreck. Don't stay here unless you absolutely have to.close

An excellent hotel - views from Terrace worth their weight in Gold. If you can get a room overlooking the valley, mountains and Interlakken you will not want to leave your bed in the morning. Staff, service FIVE STAR, would highly recommend !

We had stayed at this guest house during our last vacation and had liked this place a lot. Hence we decided to stay at this same place for the second time around. We surely recommend this place, especially for it's location (with a nice view), cleanliness, security, etc.

The view from the rooms overlooking Interlaken are incredible. Room was clean and breakfast was decent. Staff was accomodating but lacking in friendliness and availability. The hotel is about a 25-30minute walk from Interlaken.
