This place was hard to find and is not a place to go if you want to party. The hostel did come with a free breakfast that had a fairly large spread.

The location doesn't have to be a downer if you plan well but does not have the flexibility of a central location. The bathrooms were like a 1980's campsite but they will be renovated soon, at least they should be to sustain HI's image. A good place for families.

small distance away f. downtown. descent price, on lakeshore with walking path. overall, id recomend staying there if grabbing a bus into town doesn't bother you.

A pretty good hostel the staff were great, the kitchen was ok. Not that far out of town, but its definately a family place, not really a youth hostel, if you are travelling alone and want to meet people its not very good but otherwise it was ok.

A little out of the way, but the bus system is included in the stay, and easy to use. It was nice eating breakfast near the lake! It would be helpful if there were better instructions on how to get there initially.

Balmer's is famous, so it's worth staying. Very social and a great place to meet traveling or hiking buddies. A little bit of a walk from the downtown area, but close to lots of other hostels. They charge you a ridiculous amount for internet!

This hostel was great. It was right on the lake and it had gorgeous views! It was a little out of the center of town, but the bus stop wasn't far away. If you want a quieter hostel and a great spot near the lake, this is the right one. We found a hidden beach after walking for about 10 minutes....

The hostel's location in terms of town was a pretty far walk and had not much going on there. It was right on the water of one of the huge beautiful lakes though so it was peaceful to sit outside for breakfast!

If you want some peace and quiet on the edge of a beautiful lake, this is the hostel to go for. I wish I could have stayed longer. Hostel could do with a bit of a renovation, but other than that, its fine.

Amazing location on the lake, just 20 minute walk into town. The place is spotless clean, the beds are nice and new, and the breakfast is actually worth getting up for. Way better than the Frat houses in town, the staff is increadibly helpful and welcoming. I wish we could have stayed in places...

Best hostel if you dont want to be in a frat house on other side of town. It is quiet here. You will get a good night,s sleep and a great breakfast. A little out of town, but that is why it is so peaceful.
