Great fun with something organised every night, all you can eat BBQ was the highlight! Staff very friendly especially the bar man who must be the happiest guy ever! Only complaint was that our bathroom smelt like a sewer!

Good location - easy to find from a walk along the beach. Friendly laid-back staff. Nice bar with outside area with beautiful sea-view. Rooms pretty clean. Next door to Aquario hostel which has BBQ parties which you can go to (good fun). Substantial breakfast.

We stayed in Ihla grande for 8 nbights and had a fantastic time. Staff were all very friendly and we'll definately go back.

We checked inthe hostel at 6pm and the roomhadn´t been cleaned and they also had to fix the light. Very noisy at night, but good BBQ. Tried to get a deal for 7 nights but they didn´t even get back to us so we checked into a better hostel with cheaper rates and better facilities.

The hostel is a good 10- 15 minute walk with your bags from the main pier/ village along the beach, but it´s worth the walk. The beds are child size - really small, careful in top bunks. There are so many other places to stay that are of higher quality, but not a bad first night. The matresses are on par with what I´ve experienced during my month in Brazil...back breaking.

There was loud music until 4am every night, so if u wanted an early night you didnt have a chance. Staff were nice enough though

Good location,right on the water-front! BBQ´s at nite which can be a bit expensive! Very basic & not a lot 2 do but worth a visit 4 2 days or so.

Great place to stay and meet people! The hostel has a great bar area to meet and socialise with people and runs day trips and social nights which are awesome! Highly recommended and much better than staying in a Pousada!

very dodgy shower and often water went off at random times throughout the day. overall an ok place to stay if you´re looking for a basic hostel. just shut the windows early before all of the bugs get in!!

This is the best place to stay in Ilha Grande. It has the best views, the staff are very friendly and it is a great place to meet people. There was always loads o people drinking and chatting at the fantastic open air bar/beach balcony

We were overbooked (apparently they hadnt received a booking from hostel world) as it was after New Years - to their credit the staff squeezed us in to beds (tiny ratty bunkbeds), however there were 3 others in the room SHARING a double bed. The room was dirty and hot and the bathroom disgusting.close

Right on the beach (though you walk 5 min to get to the center of town, but no big deal), patio, hammocks, its same owner as Aquario and that is also a nice hostel so you have access to that as well. the staff didnt help in any way or make any attemt to be friendly - the toilets where not cleaned the room stank, the meal on christmas eve was pathetic considering the price. there seemed to be no one in charge, so nothing ever got done. no water, no change, no cachasa, etc etc

THIS HOSTEL DOES NOT EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are still building it next to hostel called aquario so the owner made us an resurvasion there... They were supposed to finish building it last newyears BUT THEY DIDN´T HAVE ANY LICENSE for that so the cunstruction was stoped! You people should... more THIS HOSTEL DOES NOT EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are still building it next to hostel called aquario so the owner made us an resurvasion there...
