If you are going to visit, show up in the summer when the rest of the tourists and the rich and famous, like Nicki Hilton, visit.close

Hvar is the queen of the Dalmatian islands .I was aware of it's beauty but feared being a student the night life would be too calm. You can't lose it, when bars and pubs are closing, follow the people and you will arrive there,music doesnt stop untill 6 AM don't miss the breakfast of pizza slices served in the club ;)close

I spent a couple of days in Hvar and to be honest didn't think that much of it. When we first arrived I thought it looked cool but after a while I wasn't convinced. We managed to be there for a freak storm during the summer which they can't handle, most bars and restaurants are outdoors so alot...more I spent a couple of days in Hvar and to be honest didn't think that much of it. When we first arrived I thought it looked cool but after a while I wasn't convinced. We managed to be there for a freak storm during the summer which they can't handle, most bars and restaurants are outdoors so alot closed. For me there were too many posers walking around, I just looked at the Carpe diem famous bar and thought cringe !! Every time I think of Hvar I think of speedos and big sunglasses. I found the island of Bol much more relaxed, has a nice beach also which Hvar doesn't have and Dubrovnik better for going out inclose

Arrived for 2 nights, just wanted to chill and relax. We were in the off season being there in October but the weather was still good, there weren't 100's of tourists around and the prices were better.
