DO NOT go to either Mirador or Chungking mansions, unless you fancy paying over the odds for an unclean poky room. The whole thing felt like an episode of prison break, and I was happy to escape after only 2 nights. My advice is book a real hotel well in advance as they are expensive but not that much compared to a guesthouse. For those who have never visited HK there is too much demand for housing therefore prices will be expensive and rooms very small.close

the price is really cheap but you do get what you pay for. so if you don't mind small rooms and not-so-pleasant surroundings this is a great budget accomodation.

it's very good location because it's very near MTR Tsim sa stui. you can walk from China Ferry it's near too. clean and the staff is friendly. but if you want the convenience you should select the hotel more than the guest house. The room and toilet it's bigger. and don't suitable for honeymooner.

It's true you get what you pay for, and if you don't mind living on top of another person then it's alright. It was clean and we didn't encounter any problems with safety which is the main thing. Also the location is great.

This place was just okay. But coming from the USA Hotel in the same building, it was a MAJOR step down. Same small space but uncomfortable beds, no window and a ghetto bathroom. If you want somewhere cheap and nice, stay at the USA Hotel. Only stay here is you really, really have to.

You can get everything you need under 'their' roof. This includes tickets to Ocean Park/ Disney HK, xchange US dollars with them (their rates are the Best!), affordable laundry services (you get them back within a day!), late check out (only when you request from them) and personal escort (Steve met me and my buddy at A21 bus stop and walk me to the hostel, he went that extra mile!). Just to name a few valuable services. Ms Young (The Housekeeper) is a young hardworking fast worker. Very cheerful (always with a smile!). She brighten up my day, everyday!. Steve's parent are nice people to chit chat with. Hostel location is the Best! And with all these, they only charge a little sum per night. It is like a Hostel with 6 Star Hotel Services. Ask them and you shall be given! After every midnight, everyone who enter the building is required to give their particulars to the management officers before they can enter the building. I would say this is an added security feature! The WiFi service is free to use! It is very useful service provided by the Hostel! A piece of advice: Man Hing Lung is a Hostel, not a Hotel. Everyone should not demand everything. Make do with what they provide. :) 3 Cheers with MHL! I'll will be back if I am staying in Kowloon the next time! :)close
